About Blue Ridge Aussies
A passion for Australian Shepherds turned into a lifelong commitment to ethical breeding, health, and finding loving forever homes for these extraordinary companions.

It Started With One Special Dog
Blue Ridge Aussies started with a single Australian Shepherd named Aspen who stole our hearts with her intelligence, loyalty, and those stunning blue eyes. We fell in love not just with her beauty, but with her incredible work ethic and gentle nature.
After years of research, networking with ethical breeders, and learning everything we could about the breed, we decided to share this joy with others. Today, we are a small, dedicated kennel focused on producing healthy, well-socialized Australian Shepherd puppies that bring the same happiness to families across the country.
We are AKC registered and follow their code of ethics strictly. Our breeding dogs are carefully selected for health, temperament, and conformation to the breed standard.
Our Core Values
Love First
Every puppy is raised as part of our family, receiving daily affection, playtime, and socialization from day one.
Home Environment
Our kennel is our home — not a facility. Puppies grow up around everyday household sounds, people, and gentle handling.
Health Priority
All breeding dogs undergo genetic screening for hip dysplasia, eye conditions, and MDR1. Regular veterinary care is mandatory.
Ethical Breeding
We follow responsible breeding practices with limited litters, ensuring every puppy receives the attention they deserve.
Raised in a Loving Home
Our puppies are born and raised in a spacious home environment. They have access to rolling pastures, fresh air, and plenty of space to explore and develop their natural instincts.
From the moment they open their eyes, our puppies are exposed to a variety of stimuli: different surfaces, sounds, people of all ages, and other animals. This early socialization creates confident, adaptable dogs ready for any family environment.
We believe that a puppy raised in a loving home environment, not a kennel, makes the best companion. That is why our dogs live with us as family members, not breeding stock.
